Born in Noor, Iran in 1977, studied acting at the drama department of Azad University, Tehran. In 2003 he enrolled in the All-Russian State Film Academy (VGIK) in Moscow where he studied directing with Vadim Abdrashitov. He received the Special Award at 6th International Photo and Film Festival for Students of Iran, teaches acting and directing in Tehran, and is presently working on his first feature film, Doshanbe.
